Volunteers Recognized During Annual Event

Red Cross volunteers are the heart and soul of this orgnization. More than 50 volunteers
gathered at the chapter office on Tuesday, July 29th for the Annual Meeting and
Volunteer Recognition Event. Volunteers were thanked for their many hours
of service to Red Cross and to our community.

Changes Made to Strengthen Disaster Response

The American Red Cross has combined Gordon County with Murray County to form a new service delivery area. The new combination will allow closer geographic ties and a faster response from the Red Cross. Lori Rosen, Executive Director of the Murray/Gordon chapter, is located in the Chatsworth chapter office and may be reached at (706) 695-7605. Gordon County previously was a part of the Coosa Valley Chapter of the Red Cross which now covers Floyd, Bartow, Polk and Chattooga counties.
